Daniel Craig may be replacing Robert Downey Jr. in Jon Favreau's new film
Craig would take Robert Downey Jr.'s place as the lead, portraying Zeke Jackson, but the site is stressing that a deal isn't close to being signed yet and they are in negotiations currently. We reported yesterday that Downey left the project due to a Sherlock Holmes sequel being put on the fast track, thus causing scheduling conflicts with this film.
Jon Favreau is directing the film from a script by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof. It was said the film is eyeing a 2011 release.
Cowboys & Aliens was released July 29th, 2011 and stars Daniel Craig, Abigail Spencer, Buck Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Cooper Taylor, Clancy Brown, Paul Dano, Chris Browning. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.
Sherlock Holmes was released December 25th, 2009 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong, Eddie Marsan, Robert Maillet, Geraldine James, Kelly Reilly. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie.

With MGM in the selling Process, Bond 23 has been delayed shortly. That should give Craig plenty of time to film this in June. I think that would be awesome. He's even got the Perfect Mustache going on right now hahaha

Yes. He would be great, but He's got the same problem that RD jr. has. I think he can't do this, because he would choose Bond. I just hope I'm wrong and he's got time to do both.
