We reported yesterday that Warner Bros. was considering potential directors for an upcoming sequel and now it seems they've found a pair of writers for the film. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Warner Bros. has hired Dan Mazeau and David Johnson to write Clash of the Titans 2.

Mazeau had worked on Warner Bros. films in development such as The Flash and Jonny Quest and Johnson is writing Red Riding Hood for the studio as well. The site also reported that the new writing team will work with Greg Berlanti on the treatment for the film before tackling the script.

Clash of the Titans stars Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are both expected to return for the sequel, which was also said to be filmed in 3D, as opposed to the first film's post-production conversion.

Our report yesterday revealed that Jonathan Liebesman was one of the front-runners mentioned to direct Clash of the Titans 2. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further details on this sequel.

Wrath of the Titans was released March 30th, 2012 and stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Édgar Ramírez, Toby Kebbell, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy, Danny Huston. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

@josh prince of persia sucked as well I thought, compared to what it could have been. should have been less of a kids film.

Im with themime, They can expand on it and do something truly epic. The first one sucked (the new one) and hopefully they can get some epic god battles in (titans vs gods - actually). I will say that the cgi was fantastic, but not much else. with the right story and direction, I have faith in it.

They can't do this justice. It was always an open & shut story. Nothing to expand upon.

Hope they learned from their mistakes and turn this sequel into the bad-ass movie it was meant to be; which, chances are, seems like a very very long shot.

I'm so pissed that THIS franchise was successful enough to continue, but any Prince of Persia sequels are likely dead.
