Damian Walshe-Howling Up for Point Break Indo

It seems there is a new version of a 90s action classic taking place on another side of the world, and casting is under way. Moviehole is reporting that Damian Walshe-Howling has signed on for a role in Point Break: Indo.

Walshe-Howling (Ned Kelly) will appear as the villain, the "sea pirate Dali," whose crew in this new version will wear masks that portray the Bush Administration members like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Colin Powell as they pillage and plunder. It is also reported that Dali's sister, Neela, is said to fall in love with one of Dali's crew members, who happens to be an undercover federal agent.

Jan de Bont is directing the film, which will shoot in both Indonesia and Australia. No production start date has been revealed.

Point Break: Indo was released in 2009 and stars Matt Gerald, Masa Yamaguchi, Rick Otto, Christopher Baker, Damian Walshe-Howling, Kenneth Moraleda. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow.
