Bloody-Disgusting has received an email from director Rob Zombie that Daeg Faerch (Freak Show) will be playing Michael Myers (age 10) in Zombie's upcoming Halloween movie.

The film will start filming in January and is expected to be released next August.

After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger.

Halloween was released August 31st, 2007 and stars Malcolm McDowell, Scout Taylor-Compton, Tyler Mane, Daeg Faerch, Sheri Moon Zombie, William Forsythe, Danielle Harris, Kristina Klebe. The film is directed by Rob Zombie.
