"Yeah, I talked to Robert [Rodriguez] and Frank [Miller]," Dawson said. "They actually just finished the script for Sin City 2 a few months ago." She then added, "Hopefully that will happen. There's talks about it shooting sometime this year."
It was also noted that such stars that were killed off in the first film, like Clive Owen's Dwight, Brittany Murphy's Shellie, Jessica Alba's Nancy, Michael Clarke Duncan's Manute and Dawson's Gail would possibly return for the sequel.

sirmetro, that's not true. Frank miller started losing his touch in the early nineties. With the exception of Sin City, most of his stuff is nigh-fascistic drivel , with too little character and too much ridiculous dialogue.

Yeah they've been saying this for years i doubt it'll happen sadly. Although if the script is finished it's just a matter of Miller and rodriguez being dedicated enough to Sin City 2 and not more interested in side projects. Sin City 2 was originally scheduled for release in March 2007 and to be filmed in 2006 but Miller decided to do The Spirit and Rodriguez did Planet Terror

Sin City was awesome, it's good to see moves being made. The third paragraph doesn't make sense. The only one of those characters that was "killed off in the first film" was Duncan's, none of the others died. And if their sticking to the graphic novels and not making some new story, then yeah, those characters are without doubt going to be in Sin City 2. They don't even mention Rouke's character Marv, what the hell? That's the best damn character. They have four books left to adapt, and Hell and Back will be amazing. Heard Depp was might be the lead in that one. ROBERT! YOUR THE MAN!
