While out promoting his latest project on various radio programs across the country, Corey has had to field that one question he gets asked at least once a day, if not more. And that question is, "Will there be a Goonies 2?" Feldman commented on this, and the prospects of a Lost Boys 3 on his own personal blog. This is what Corey had to say:
In promoting the album I have done a lot of radio interviews in the last two weeks, I will continue doing these over the next few weeks. I must say it is quite annoying when I am trying to plug the album and tell everyone just to listen to it without judging first but all they want to ask about is Goonies 2!!! A lot of the stations have been amazing and kept mostly to the topic.....but there have also been a group who ask all the same question....is there going to be a Goonies 2? Are you making a Lost Boys trilogy? Where's Corey Haim? Do you guys still talk? So I figure I will take this opportunity to answer the silly questions one last time. NO! There is no Goonies 2! I'm sorry but it's just not gonna happen. It seems every 6 months the rumor mill gets started up again and people run around both excited and angry, and eventually I have to respond. I would have loved to do this movie under the direction of Donner (who wouldn't?) but it is just not meant to be. Hope that's settled. Course now that I've said that they'll do it. As far as Lost Boys 3 goes as far as I know there is still no word that Warner Brothers is going to make it. Although I do see it being a lot more likely than Goonies 2, there is no news as of yet. I will keep you posted if anything happens on that one. And as far as Mr.H goes, No, we have not spoken since the show ended 7 months ago.
We will keep you updated on any new Corey news as it breaks.
The Goonies 2 is in development and stars Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Corey Feldman, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton, Jonathan Ke Quan, John Matuszak. The film is directed by Richard Donner.
Lost Boys: The Tribe was released July 29th, 2008 and stars Tad Hilgenbrink, Angus Sutherland, Autumn Reeser, Gabrielle Rose, Corey Feldman, Shaun Sipos, Merwin Mondesir, Kyle Cassie. The film is directed by P.J. Pesce.

Well, since I've never seen "The Goonies" to begin with, I'm not too hurt by the news about "The Goonies 2" not in the works.
I DO hope that they get to work on "The Lost Boys 3." I mean, like everyone else, I thought that "The Lost Boys: The Tribe" was a BAD IDEA. However, I was DEFINITELY pleasantly surprised by the film. So if they can do AS good, or BETTER, than "The Lost Boys: The Tribe," then I'll DEFINITELY be happy. It won't be better than the original "The Lost Boys," though. LOLZ!!!!! Very few vampire movies are!!!!! LOLZ!!!!!

November 20, 2003 - AICN reports that the working title for The Goonies sequel is Goonies Never Say Die. Great title. Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris, who both wrote X-Men 2, are writing the script.
So it looks like there is a good chance that G2 will happen, provided Richard Donner and Steven Spielberg receive the greenlight from WB.

There are some people that call others stupid when they have different opinions. These same people claim to be a book author, yet, cannot spell or conjugate a sentence. They often wear red shirts.

Feldman is awesome but I hope there isn't a Goonies 2. Lost Boys 3 will happen, part 2 wasn't that bad.

There are some people that are way stupid. Those people believe G2 will happen. I hate to burst your bubble but it isn't going to happen.
Now for Lost Boys 2, it was entertaining but unnessary. It should never had a second film and adding a third film is just plain stupid. What happened to stand alone films, now thats better than milking a fanchise.

plug your poxy albumn and then complain about the questions asked? nobody is interested in your music Feldman and if it weren't for those "silly questions" you wouldn't be invited anywhere to plug anything in the first place. nob.

Those bastards, they ruined the very essence of what lost boys had that made it great, Lost boys 2 does the name no good, all it is was a pathetic attempt at copying a classic, the fact that warners branded it lost boys 2 doesnt matter in the slightest...disgusting

A Goonies2 is inevitable in this 80's remake climate, it's just a matter of scheduling and a decent script.

Someone please tell me how this sh*t head got involved in the lost boys production. Lost boys 2 was good but his performance was more annoying then anything. it almost seems like he is the sole creator of The lost boys. Although 2 was good, it wasn't needed. Just like Goonies 2is cry for chump change. No matter what he said in this interview will probably try to bring back everything he was in. What Next Dream a little 3? Burn in hell Corey Feldman.
