The film is based on Suzanne Collins' best-selling futuristic young adult novel. A dystopic Capitol requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl who are forced to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. When Katniss Everdeen's little sister is chosen in the lottery, Katniss volunteers to take her place. Although persevering through hardship is commonplace for Katniss, she must start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love in order to win the games and return home.

The Hunger Games was released March 23rd, 2012 and stars Stanley Tucci, Wes Bentley, Jennifer Lawrence, Willow Shields, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Sandra Ellis Lafferty, Paula Malcomson. The film is directed by Gary Ross.

The hunger games was one of the most amazing movie that we had seen. I'm not even a book lover and I haven't even finished reading even a single novel book. Because of the great impact of the movie in me, it made me decide to read it. And I finished reading it through e-book. But I really do want to have a copy of the book because it is rarely seen here in our country and it cost a lot. by having a copy of it, I can read it over and over again. :D I SO LOVE IT!

Hunger Games is a HEART-STOPPING AND HEART-BEATING NOVEL/MOVIE OF ALL TIME! I love the fact that it's not just an action film. It's a battle where you should fight your heart out for the needs of your family and for yourself too. And the friendship you can build with the people (tributes) you never thought you'll be attached to at the end of the game. These words maybe not enough to show how much the Hunger Games changed me in different aspects; my life, family, friends and even my enemies! I LOVE HUNGER GAMES! MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!

Hi. The reason I think I should win this is because I'm a very dedicated fangirl. I have a blog dedicated for The Hunger Games, and Josh Hutcherson. I really love Jennifer Lawrence too. She is beautiful and talented and one of a kind. And Suzanne Collins is such an amazing person who needs to be praised and honoured for writing The Hunger Games Trilogy. I've have never been as dedicated to anything as I am to The Hunger Games books and movie. If I won these, would be amazingly happy. Nothing would be better. Thank you Suzanne Collins for writing these amazing books! That's why I think it would be amazing if I won these. (:

The Hunger Games Series were more than just books of fantasy. As my daughter and I read each book we thought about the life touching, hidden meanings they really have. Besides the quality time that we barley get with one another we talked about the meanings of love, loss, and hurt. These are everyday matters in our world, just in a fantasy way. As we collect books, having a signed series by Suzanne Collins would mean the world to us. Thank you Ms. Collins for a great series!

I teach highschool English, and my students are obsessed with this trilogy. So, I have decided to incorporate the book into my lesson plans and explore the theme of dystopia, comparing it to past literataure such as 1984.

The reason that I want to win these amazing prizes is because I live and breath The Hunger Games. I've written, directed and produced a series of five audio-dramas based on the Hunger Games, am planning and directing a web-series about life in The Capitol, and own all copies of the book - in English and Hebrew. I'm going to see the movie on the first five nights after it premiers with five different groups of friends. I'm prepared to cry for Rue, cheer for Effie (my idol), and boo at President Snow. I pretend on a daily basis that I am in the arena, stalking my enemies. Just when I think I have found the perfect opportunity to kill them, they fall into a nest of vipers or something equally horrible. But it does not matter - I still win. I am the Mockingjay`s little brother.

I want to win because since 2010, The Hunger Games has become such a huge part of my life. It helped me when times got tough, because it took me away from a stressful world, and helped me realized that it could be worse. Turning each of those pages was like a new adventure each time it happened, but when it was over, it was like I lost a loved one. Since then, I've read the trilogy 9 times, and each time, its just as magical. The Hunger Games comes to my mind everyday of my life, no matter what situation I'm in. I get shaky and excited when I remember there's a movie, because it's going to be a new life for me. I'll see the characters ,who made reading special, on the big screen. Having that poster and book would only add to the excitement that THG brings me on a daily basis. I would love to have these in my life.

I REALLY LOVE THE EDITION! The one I have is really weird... And I know someone who wants to borrow it from me. And that poster would be my first bit of Hunger Games merchandise EVER.
I want this as much as a Career Tribute wants to win the Games.
And I literally LIVE the books. I feel what Katniss feels!
