Oscar winners Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts reunite for a dramatic comedy about how the hard knocks from today's recession inspire one everyday guy to undergo a personal reinvention: Larry Crowne.
Until he was downsized, affable, amiable Larry Crowne (Hanks) was a superstar team leader at the big-box company where he's worked since his time in the Navy. Underwater on his mortgage and unclear on what to do with his suddenly free days, Larry heads to his local college to start over. There he becomes part of a colorful community of outcasts, also-rans and the overlooked all trying to find a better future for themselves...often moving around town in a herd of scooters. In his public-speaking class, Larry develops an unexpected crush on his teacher Mercedes Tainot (Roberts), who has lost as much passion for teaching as she has for her husband.
The simple guy who has every reason to think his life has stalled will come to learn an unexpected lesson: when you think everything worth having has passed you by, you just might discover your reason to live.
Larry Crowne was released July 1st, 2011 and stars Tom Hanks, Sarah Mahoney, Roxana Ortega, Randall Park, Brady Rubin, Alex Quijano, Tina Huang, E-Kan Soong. The film is directed by Tom Hanks.

My car broke down yesterday so I got to work Larry Crowne style today. I thought 20 miles was too far but it was a blast. I just might have to opt to do it more often. I sure would look good commuting in that Larry Crowne shirt!

Larry Crowne is pretty much the story of my life! Last year I began riding my scooter as my main form of transportation. I joined a scooter club and started going to community college last fall, which I am still continuing. This year I sold my car and am now 100% on my scooter, even in the rain. I would love to win these items to share with my scooter gang!

I would love to give this prize to my boss - he's been proudly driving a 1981 scooter the past 30 years and each summer boasts about how much it costs to fill his tank. In contrast each day he commutes 60 miles which adds up quickly at the gas pump. He would LOVE the shirt and greatly appreciate the gas card and notebook.

I just got back from a premiere showing of Lance Corona...ooopps I mean Larry Crowne. Who won't leave this movie smiling...nobody! I just bought a scooter 2 weeks ago and that made this movie even more fun. Glad to see someone else had a first ride "experience". I NEED a Larry Crowne shirt.....PLEASE!
