Complete Machete Cast Revealed
Aside from Danny Trejo, who will play Machete, the film also stars Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin. Don Johnson and Jeff Fahey will have supporting roles in the film as well.
Rodriguez is directing with his protege Ethan Maniquis. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any and all news stemming from this new film as soon as we have more information.
Machete was released September 3rd, 2010 and stars Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal, Michelle Rodriguez, Jeff Fahey, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson. The film is directed by Ethan Maniquis, Robert Rodriguez.

Steven Segal is a horrible actor but I always find myself watching his movies. Well I have high hopes for this because I f I'm correct this is Trejo's first film as the lead. Lindsay Lohan is disgusting. I do like the rest of the cast.

They are both auteurs with different tones and styles of auteurism.
Rodriguez aint an auteur of film, his style is too much in tone to that of QT.

As a latino, i'm glad to see that robert rodriguez is going back to his roots. maybe he has been acting like a tarantino, but hey tarantino always tried to be scorsese and nobody says sh*t. The dude is good when he gets good people around him. from dusk til dawn was the sh*t! Good cast so far...L-lo sucks balls, but it'll be good to see seagal on the big screen rather than direct to dvd rip offs of taken. he needs it! Deniro isnt washed up...righteous kill doesnt count, that was a "lemme help pacino out" movie..hopefully, deniro isnt doing it for the "dinero" and will give it his all.This movie is gonna rock....Trejo deserves it! best quote i've ever heard.."it's better to aim at the stars and miss, than aim at the gutter and make it"- Danny Trejo

I just hope Rodriguez doesn't sh*t all over the main Machete guy, Danny Trejo, like he did with Antonio Banderas when Johnny Depp got to play Sands. The movie made Depp more of a main character than Banderas, and i hope he does not give De Niro the same treatment. I want to see all Danny Trejo kick some ass.

J.A.'s last comment summed it up for me. Rodriguez is a wanna be Quentin, just becaus he started with Desperado being "a south of the border Pulp fiction" and he looks up to QT. But he needs to be his own person like he was with Sin City (thank you frank miller) and get back to his roots. This sounds stupid, bloody, and probably gay LIKE planet terror. I will see this due to Cheech, DeNiro and Alba, but damn you Roberto!

His had this idea since like well he concepted it while making Desperado, so nearly a 10yr plus gap.

it could be good. But I kinda was let down on how the last desporodo was. a guitar case carring guy with guns is kool, but a guy with knives and machete's on him is kinda bloody sounding even compard to the other gory movies robert rodriguez has made.
