Columbia Sets Sights on The Lost Symbol

While Angels & Demons is moving towards its May 15 release, Columbia Pictures has another film adaptation to look forward to. According to Variety, author Dan Brown has announced that his latest novel, The Lost Symbol, which continues the adventures of Robert Langdon, will be published on September 15.

It was said that the new novel will have a huge first run of 5 million copies. The novel is the third in his series of novels featuring Robert Langdon, who was portrayed in the hit films The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, which were both based off Brown's books of the same names. It was said that this new novel takes place within a 12-hour timeframe.

Angels & Demons was released May 15th, 2009 and stars Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Ayelet Zurer, Stellan SkarsgÄrd, Pierfrancesco Favino, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Thure Lindhardt. The film is directed by Ron Howard.
