Columbia Pictures Ready for Men in Black 3

Columbia Pictures has set Tropic Thunder scribe Etan Cohen to write a third installment in the Men In Black franchise.

According to Variety, there are no deals in place for the franchise's stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, however it is unlikely the project would go into motion without the duo's involvement.

No production date has been announced.

The second was a rehash of the first. But I did like in a way how SMith's character becomes likes Jones's.

One of the reasons why Will wants to finish these two is bemuse he's getting older. That and he wants to do serious acting once these two are done with.
Bay is cool for action but not for character strength, instead of directing it he needs to just keep his name in it and do very little work on it. Just get another director attached for BB3.

Ok a bad boys 3 is happening Bay is doing Transformers 3 first, then some next film and Bad Boys 3, but i think he is only producing the film inbetween T3 & BB3, its a horror, not sure though.

According to the variety article this film all depends on weather Will Smith get on board to return to the role, its noted that if he doesn't the studio will most likely drop it.
Jones has already stated he is eager to return as well.

And the screenwriter is Etan Cohen not Ethan, his the same screenwriter that wrote Tropic Thunder.
I'd like to see this franchise take a serious dark tone, for this installment, and no not because of TDK, i'd just like to see it end on a dark film, maybe a proper serious alien invasion.

I had an idea once for this but meh

First one was fun and second one wavered... That's kinda how I felt about Bad Boys also. Still, looking forward to a 3rd outing from both. At least they're not rebooting / remaking / reimaging / retelling / revisualizing... or whatever the choice word is this week in Hollyweird. Those kind of idiots should go and RETHINK their career paths.

Punisher, a Bad Boys 3 is being planned. Bay stated that it'll either be coming out on 2011 or 2012, depending on when he releases Transformers 3.

    I disliked the second MIB.
