Phillip K. Dick was an insane writer. Literally, he was insane. I cant get mad at them for remaking this beacuse Arnold's version was based off of Dick's story. Phillip K. Dick is one of those authors who we are going to see the stories remade time and time again. I have a bad feeling about the future of mankind.

their is no replacing Arnold when it comes to these films,
@Supes & @movie-nut honestly its the truth and @Nut you make a good point i really cant, say what you want but Remember Me and Stop Loss are the only one's that come to mind that's about it and Deception off course, Cant really think of anything else, and i was thinking about it @Sups i believe these guys are so lazy they just have a computer program scan movie information for weak number and release dates and go from their with possibilities cause lets face it their to busy talking about the business then taking care of business, Its a joke, i tell you what after i get in the service to my time "not saying its like a prison sentence" but get my G.I. Bill and sh*t and go to film school if my a miracle or dumb luck i catch a break im coming here and hiring people. Cause i know for a fact the 7 scripts Ive written are all original and i have no doubt at least 3 maybe for would sell. Anyone is customer service knows the cardinal rule know your customers, no their wants and needs, this is obviously not happening from the film industry,

I was always hoping one day for a sequel with Arnold. Even when he would leave office (a few months left) going back to acting, which he said he will if the right role comes up. But it seems no Arnold, with these pitiful remakes, relaunches, or whatever the hell they want to call them.

why won't they just make a sequel rather than try to redue classic films, the first one a had rememorble sences? what would/could they do to make this rememorble?

My interest in this is sinking like a rock...not because of Farrell (who would be excellent), but because, apparently, the guy who is responsible for 'Ultraviolet' wrote the screenplay. Not a good sign.
Farrell needs to get a copy of the screenplay and pass it around to several trusted friends for a good read before signing on to this one.

Don't know about this guy, the only memorable role he played was against Tom Cruise in the Minority Report.

@Remy That's what I've been saying! No one has any original ideas anymore. I mean, think about it. What was the last movie that wasn't a remake, or wasn't based on a book, comic, or old T.V series?

Dan
@Remy haha, it does seem like they literally do that when deciding on 'new' movies to make.

this guy has tenacity and can act quite well. just wondering how come he has not come off a break in movies where all he starred in turned out to be flops in the box office. Even his partner tuned villain in SWAT Jeremy Renner is on his way to become a star with movies like 28 Weeks Later, Hurt Locker, The Town, Avengers, MI4: Ghost Protocol.
I hope Collin can be placed in a good film he can enable his acting skills.

all these remakes im telling you someone needs to seriously be fired down the line, has no one ever had an original thought out in Hollywood, hell the fans here should all get together and get a think tank going so we can get paid some serious bucks, its like they have seriously gotten lazy, i honestly think some of these guys go out to movies stores and go. yep, yep, nope, not yet, yeah that could be done, when looking at movie titles. I dont give a damn

What an interesting choice. I'd definitely like to see how this plays out. As for Len Wiseman; I really enjoyed his Underworld movies. Sure they weren't perfect, but they were a lot of fun. And of course Die Hard 4.0 rocked. In my opinion he appears to be a competent director who is growing with each new project.

@TheNarrator what is there to reboot? it would be a remake. there was only one total recall film. you cant reboot. thatd be like rebooting.... f*ck i cant think of an example but you get what i mean

The Narrator: The Better Man
@Dave, he only directed the first two Underworld film (the first being the best of the trilogy). That and Live Free or Die Hard. Then he did the pilot for the new Hawaii 5-0 series (Which was fun). Overall, he is a good action director. Not to mention he was set to do the Gears of War adaption, and he was gonna make it epic, until everyone (including him) pulled out. Overall, I don't think he's a half bad director myself.
As for the remake itself, I don't know. If this was a reboot, and they brought a new storyline to the film, then awesome! But a direct remake? Hmm... I don't think so.

i agree with @emmytt, all these remakes, does hollywood have no original stuff anymore?
although sometimes i like to see remakes, to give a newer feel for the movie or something, i'll watch this, though if it ever gets made, and @daveactor7, i actually liked the underworld movies, well kinda, it had a better depiction of vamps vs. werewolves than twilight did

@Daveactor7 the only stuff he's directed is the Underworld movies which did pretty good.. i havent seen them but they're make sequels so they cant be all bad and die hard. Bruce said he thought Len did a great job and he liked it better then the first die hard.. thats saying something. He's only directed 3 movies... give him a chance
