Clive Barker Reveals Hellraiser Remake Update
Barker stated, "I will watch over two Frenchmen who will remake it and only because I think they are two very splendid young men who made a fucking great movie. I like them both. I like the movie INSIDE. It's very good, very bloody and they are very nice smart guys who have a commitment to the original movie."
He continued, saying, "I think it's all the more reason that they remake it; that they don't take my version of the story. I had some specific suggestions, which I don't want to spoil for you or anyone else, about how things might be taken up a notch or two. And you know S&M just isn't what it used to be! So if we're to do the whips and chains and the hooks we have to do them at a whole new level because I thinks its tired material."
About Doug Bradley returning as Pinhead, Barker claimed, "I wish I knew. I don't think they even know at this stage."
The film will be released sometime in 2008.
Hellraiser comes to theaters in 2013. The film is directed by Patrick Lussier.

Can no one out there write an original screen play anymore? Even I have dozens of ideas for movies but no time to write them, even I could write a sequel to this series but I could never get into it because it was the same thing in each movie. Unlock the box, summon the bad guys, get yourself tortured, then have someone come to the rescue. Maybe they should have thought about writing a PREQUEL to this series, show how Pinhead finds the box, or even how the first Cenobite came to be?

Great another f*cking re-make!! 1st Halloweeen was mangled to hell & now this!! What Hollywood ran out of ideas. The orginal "Hellraiser" just turned 20 yrars old this year!! Why not just clean up the orginial print and Re-Release it in theaters??? Guess that is to hard to ask, so they will spend money on a re-make when that smae money could clean up the orginial and take the smae money and make a orginial horror film!
Another cult film destroyed by the Hollywood system! I guess Clive Barker needs the paycheck that bad to sell himself out!
