Be warned, for those who haven't seen Marvel's The Avengers yet, this article contains heavy spoilers.

Actor Clark Gregg, who played Agent Coulson in Marvel's The Avengers, recently spoke out about his character's demise in the Marvel Studios blockbuster, and revealed that he likely won't come back as "The Vision," the android character from the Marvel comics.

"Vision is cool. But I would hate to be any AI life form. If I got to come back, I would need to still be somebody who could wisecrack, because my favorite part of the job was that if anybody was going to tease anybody about their diva superhero outfit or whatever, it would be me."

He also spoke about how he will ultimately miss playing the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, but he enjoyed what director Joss Whedon did with the character.

"I really love what Joss did with Agent Coulson in The Avengers. It seems like an idea that was in the cards, not only from Joss but from Marvel, in that you needed to ground the movie in some real emotion and stakes. I loved playing that guy, and I'll miss playing him, but I was glad to have that job."

His death was really heartbreaking, but it did prove a pivotal part for the movie's development. Oh well, he had a good run!

I watched the The Avengers and it was FREAKING AWESOME! I like them all but the Hulk/Bruce Banner STANDOUT among the rest. Mark Ruffalo did an AMAZING job and he gave JUSTICE to Hulk/Bruce Banner compared to the other 2 Hulk movies. Marvel and Disney made an EXCELLENT decision for giving the role to Mark Ruffalo. We NEED a new Hulk movie of Mark Ruffalo! WE NEED MORE!

Clark Gregg is a beast. I'll support the dude in other roles, even if it's not Marvel related.

I still don't know....I mean he has a monotone voice, the look and he is an actor and he can venture into many fields as he will in his career. I'd say give Vision a shot.

As for Vision, I was opposed to everyone's theories about him turning into the Vision at first. I've softened up to the idea, but I'd still rather see him as Coulson. But please, PLEASE, give us Vision!

He makes a good point. His whole smartass charisma worked for him. As much as I hate revivals, I would like to see him come back. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't actually die.
