If you've been waiting for your favorite nerds from the Nerd Herd to come back to the small screen, you might not have to wait that much longer. According to Entertainment Weekly's Ausiello Files, NBC is considering premiering the third season of Chuck in late October.

While the series was picked up for a third season, it was set to debut the 13-episode season in March. However, due to the network's new shows performing poorly in the ratings - and the recent cancelation of the cop drama Southland - it seems the network could debut the new season at the end of the month.

It was also reported that if the network does debut the season early, the chances are much greater that the network would place a back-nine order to bring the new season to 22 episodes.
