Max Landis' superhero film Chronicles lands at Fox
The story revolves around a trio of Portland teens who get exposed to a supernatural substance in the woods and start to develop super powers. At first, the friends explore their new powers together, until personal and family problems cause them to turn on each other.
First-time director Josh Trank is attached to direct the film, and it was said that they would likely shoot the film in the hand-held documentary-style method made popular by such films as Cloverfield. Trank was also the editor of the Robert D. Siegel film Big Fan.

Why teenagers? Why not a thirty year old? There are too many teen films and not enough Adult superheroes. Though it might be good to see anyway.

Probably another teenage bucket of crap like the twilight films... We need more superhero films like the dark knight.. (even though technically batman is NOT a super hero)

The story seems very interesting. I hope it isn't superficial, and really delves into the problems that lead to the breakdown of the friendships.

Why do they have to do it hand held style, idk but I just don't like it when films are like that(most of the time).

Love it! I will definitely see this! I'm assuming also that since the film is called Chronicles that there will be a sequel after this one?
