Christopher Plummer, Lynn Redgrave, and Isabella Rossellini will lend their voices to the indie animated feature, My Dog Tulip.

The film is based on the 1956 Brit novel by J.R. Ackerley which follows a 14-year friendship between Ackerley and his German Shepherd, Tulip, after the scribe rescued the dog. Variety also notes the additional cast of the film includes Brian Murray, Paul Hecht, Peter Gerety and Euan Morton.

Voice recording for My Dog Tulip begins this month, with animation to follow; a December 2007 release has been scheduled.
