Christopher Nolan may direct The Twilight Zone
We reported last October that screenwriter Jason Rothenberg is writing The Twilight Zone with Rand Ravich, although there has been no movement on the project since then. Twilight Zone: The Movie, which Warner Bros. released in 1983, featured four top-level directors (Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante, John Landis, and George Miller), who each directed their own segment. This version will feature a single story line with just one director.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt is also considered to be another candidate for The Twilight Zone. All of the directors mentioned do not have plans for their next movie locked in yet.
Leonardo DiCaprio is producing The Twilight Zone along with his Appian Way producing partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran. No production schedule was given for The Twilight Zone.
The Twilight Zone is in development . The film is directed by Matt Reeves.

i think that nolan should take a pass on the movie i think that people like his vision for the psychology like dreams or memory lost or insomnia like inception, memento and ironically enough insomnia. twilight zone seems more like a ron howard or one of the directors of harry potter.

Please not Michael Bay he destroys everything he touch's. I do think Alfonso Cuaron and Rupert Wyatt are other good choices.

Michael Bay would destroy "'The Twilight Zone'" ...it would be a loud mess...hate to be mean but true..!
......Personally someone in Hollywood should consider Tim Burton. Tim Burton wouldn't be a bad choice of director for 'The Twilight Zone'.!

.Hmmmm this could have promise......differnt vision....Christopher Nolan + 'The Twilight Zone' ...Interesting...!
I read somewhere that 'Transformers 2' maker Michael Bay is also on the wish list to direct 'The Twilight Zone'. !

How can you consider Nolan and Bay for the same movie? They clearly just want a name

Depending on the screenplay (also considering what Nolan may do to it if he gets tapped) Nolan would be great. I can definitely see him directing a Twilight Zone movie. Also, Cuaron would definitely be a great choice, as well.

Err
One does not consider Chris Nolan for a job, one asks Chris Nolan to please consider the job. Anyway if he isn't interested I say go for Rupert Wyatt, rise of the planet of the apes was great and I'd like to see more from the guy.

I would love to see a Christopher Nolan Twilight Zone movie. That would work for me, in my opinion.

Michael Bay will just make it cgi, and explosions. Nolan all the way

Well, I may be the minority here, but I think Nolan is the best candidate. :P

Haven't seen The Prestige but I'd still like to see Nolan take on something like this. I mean, look at Inception!

The Narrator: The Better Man
Sounds promising for Cuaron or Yates. However, Yates needs to focus on adapting Fables, if he gets the job, so I'd give this to Cuaron.
Nolan would do a great job, absolutely, but he has other things on his mind at the moment. Though, if it were between this project and his supposed Howard Hughes flick... I'd take this one.

@bawnian-dexeus - You bet your ass he will.......and I'm sure he'll do a great job doing so, too. I hope he takes the job.
If he doesn't do it, I really want to see Nolan take on a balls-to-the-walls sci-fi flick. That would be amazing! By the way, when I say sci-fi, I'm not talking about something like Inception.....I'm talking about something more along the lines of Alien or a horror film in space.

@bawnian-dexeus Well, Inception was almost like an episode of Twilight Zone.....they should have him film 30min shorts to make a 5 part 2 and half hour movie.

After reading the article title, if chosen for this project, Nolan will have a field day writing a mind f*ck of a script

Christopher Nolan seldom adapts movies, I can't see him taking a movie like this. Stick to originals; you're best when executing stories! dont forget that Mr. Nolan!

By the way, I take back what I said earlier about Michael Bay being a great director when he wants to be. Michael Bay is not a great director when he wants to be.......he is a decent director at best......DECENT. He's very good with visuals.....but my Lord, he is a terrible emotional story teller! I sometimes wonder if the guy feels anything at all......aside from the burning sensation on his face caused by all the explosions he is setting off.
Therefore, Michael Bay should be the last on this list.

Literally every single person on this list is an excellent choice......however, depending on who you go with, you are going to get five very different movies.
I say either Christopher Nolan, David Yates or Alfonso Cuaron......they are the most accomplished directors and would do the best job.
I was pleasantly surprised by Rise of the Planet of the Apes so Rupert Wyatt is a good choice too. But the fact is, with the other guys you'll get a better film........not to say his wouldn't be good, but not AS good, in my opinion.
Michael Bay is a good director WHEN HE WANTS TO BE (when he isn't doing twin robots with racial ties.) But he would need to be very serious......which would be a first for him.
A few months ago I heard that Leonardo DiCaprios Production company will be producing and that he is actually interested in starring. With these directors behind the lens and Leo in front.....that's got potential for one hell of a film!!! Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

David Yates is also on the list of potentials according to some other sites.
