Law and Order: Special Victims Unit star Christopher Meloni is in negotiations to join Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman the baseball drama 42.

The actor will play Leo Durocher, the manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Harrison Ford will be playing Branch Rickey, with Chadwick Boseman playing Jackie Robinson. Brian Helgeland is writing and directing the project with Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni producing.

The actor spent more than ten years solving sex crimes with Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
