Bloody Disgusting announced earlier today that Christina Ricci has signed on to headline the upcoming thriller After.Life. The film, which was announced way back in January of 2007, is being written and directed by Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo.

The story revolves around Ricci’s character, a young woman who is in a state of flux between the real living world and the after life. She struggles to avoid being buried alive, with her fate resting in the hands of a drunken funeral director. Bloody Disgusting had no word on whether Kate Bosworth and Alfred Molina were still attached to the project, as they were announced as co-stars over a year ago.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting on November 10th in and around New York City.

After.Life was released April 9th, 2010 and stars Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci, Justin Long, Josh Charles, Chandler Canterbury, Celia Weston, Anna Kuchma, Rosemary Murphy. The film is directed by Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo.
