According to Variety, The Aviator script writer John Logan will write the adaptation.
The story centers on an orphaned boy who secretly lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station and looks after the clocks. He gets caught up in a mystery adventure when he attempts to repair a mechanical man.
Production is set to begin in the fall.
Hugo was released November 23rd, 2011 and stars Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Moretz, Ray Winstone, Emily Mortimer, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory. The film is directed by Martin Scorsese.
