Chris Noth has signed on for Sex and the City 2, the sequel that will be directed by Michael Patrick King for New Line Cinema. Evan Handler and David Eigenger have also boarded the project.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. has set a May 28, 2010, release date. The original grossed $412.6 million worldwide.

They are set to join Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis who have already signed on for the sequel.

The film starts production in early September.

Sex and the City 2 was released May 27th, 2010 and stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Jason Lewis. The film is directed by Michael Patrick King.
