While there is a lot about these images to make one think that they could indeed be concept art from the film (the details from the comic book matching the character, the accuracy of the hammer Mjolnir, etc.), there has yet to be confirmation from Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures about the legitimacy of any of these concept art images.
Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of superhero: "Thor." This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor was released May 6th, 2011 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan SkarsgÄrd, Kat Dennings, Clark Gregg, Idris Elba. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

I think the hammer will be fine. It's proportioned well for the actor. I mean it's not Arnold we're tlking about. U should think about the cool cgi effects that will contrast well when he's wlking around with it.

i was hoping he'll was going to look more like ultimate thor

No of fence but his hammer looks to short and un-realistic and his costume doesn't look like a viking like in the comics or movies like the avengers

That's about as cool as you could make Thor look. Not bad. I think the helmet would have been overkill. Apparently Kenneth Branagh agrees.

Which would also explain why it doesn't look like a human conception of armor. He doesn't need armor. He's f*cking Thor.

Askanerd:
The Asgardians in Marvel Comics are a race of aliens whose technology has evolved to the point where it is indistinguishable from magic. They are not actual Norse Gods, except that their existence and interference on earth inspired legends (in the MCU). The two most recognizable incarnations of Thor are the Ultimate version, and the more recent "mail-armed" interpretation for new Avengers books. I'd say this is a perfect fusion between them and definitely represents what Alien Tech in the form of "Norse Gods" would look like.
Stop bitching unless you are informed and have something useful to contribute.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Sorry, but based on the "concept art" the outfit is a no go.
1. His helmet should definitely be in the film. If you look at how the helmet has progressed through comics and see how it looks like now, it would have added some formality and realism with the film. I mean a Norse-God should have a helmet. And it would make up for how plastic this outfit looks.
2. They don't have enough actual "armor" on him. I mean... it looks far to fake. I am all for them trying to match the comics in looks and color, but I wouldn't mind some realism and creativity here.
But then again, this is concept art, so I will hold off until a trailer. I am sure they changed a few things.

when there done with making Thor, they can sell the outfit back to Judge Dredd were they ripped off from in the first place.

I'm liking the look. WIsh there was a pic with the helmet. ALso I think the belt should be gold or have gold or silver accents to break up the dark blue, since they didn't put him in the silver pants that match his sleeves.

Holy Crap!. Those images of Thor look 100 times cooler then Captain Americas recently released images on the internet. I wonder why that is.
