Angelina Jolie has yet another spy to play with in her new thriller. According to Moviehole, Chiwetel Ejiofor has signed on for Salt.

The actor will portray Peabody, a counter-intelligence officer who becomes obsessed with proving that Angelina Jolie's title character is a Russian sleeper spy. Liev Schrieber recently joined the cast as well.

Phillip Noyce is directing the film, which revolves around Jolie's Salt trying to clear her name after being fingered as a double-agent. No production schedule was released.

Salt was released July 23rd, 2010 and stars Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Daniel Olbrychski, August Diehl, Daniel Pearce, Hunt Block, Andre Braugher. The film is directed by Phillip Noyce.
