Skipping Christmas: According to Variety, Cheech Marin, Jake Busey and M. Emmet Walsh have joined the cast of Revolution Studios comedy "Skipping Christmas," which Joe Roth will helm in April.

In the adaptation of the John Grisham bestseller, Tim Allen plays Luther Krank, who decides to skip Christmas and its trappings and go on a vacation with his wife (Jamie Lee Curtis) instead. When, at the last minute, his daughter decides to come home for the holiday, Krank is forced to put Christmas back together.

Marin and Busey will play neighborhood cops who are offended when Krank refuses to buy their Police Benevolent Society calendar featuring the most photogenic officers.

Walsh will portray the Kranks' cranky neighbor, who spies on Luther's activities and reports them to the neighborhood busybody (Dan Aykroyd).
