In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Chase Palmer will be rewriting the script for Dune that Pierre Morel is directing for Paramount.

Morel came aboard the project at the beginning of 2010. Palmer plans to work Morel's ideas into initial writer Josh Zetumer's screenplay. Morel (Taken) plans on staying close to Frank Herbert's classic 1965 sci-fi novel.

David Lynch turned the first novel into a feature for Universal in 1984.

Dune comes to theaters in 2014. The film is directed by Pierre Morel.

    I looked the guy up on IMDB and didn't recognize anything he worked on. Meh. Dune is a classic sci-fi, I look forward to seeing his work.

    Pierre Morel on the other hand, although weak on story, knows action.
