Charlize Theron, Colin Farrell, Ralph Fiennes and Willem Dafoe are attached to topline the indie Iraq-set action drama, The Hurt Locker.

Kathryn Bigelow is directing from a screenplay she co-wrote with war reporter Mark Boal; the film follows the exploits of an elite bomb disposal unit. Production Weekly adds forced to play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in the chaos of war, an elite Army bomb squad unit must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb.

Filming on The Hurt Locker begins later this spring.
