Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy Set for Mad Max 4: Fury Road
Mel Gibson is not reprising his iconic role of Max Rockatansky, who will instead be played by Hardy, the British-born actor who starred in Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla. Theron is set to play the female lead.
The story details are being kept under wraps, however, the movie takes place after the story laid out in 1985's Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
Production is planned for next summer in Australia.
Mad Max: Fury Road is in development and stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Tom Hardy, Teresa Palmer, Charlize Theron, Adelaide Clemens, Riley Keough. The film is directed by George Miller.

Interested to see how this comes out. Hardy is superb, so I think it will be hard for him to f*ck this up. The only way I can see people giving it sh*t is over the zealotry towards Gibson coming back as Mad Max. But seriously, if you've seen Gibson lately, it will just look bad, this old dude in clad in leather duds. It'd look goofy. Lets be happy they have some top notch actors, as to a bunch of schmucks. Imagine they cast Channing Tatum as Max, now that would suck.
