Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Goes to #1

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Home Video scored a double win with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was the No. 1 DVD seller as well as renter its first week in stores.

The Tim Burton-helmed fantasy, which grossed $206.1 million in theaters, bumped 20th Century Fox's Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith from the top spot on VideoScan's First Alert chart for the week ending Nov. 13. The Force was powerful enough, however, to keep the week's other high-profile new theatrical, Sony Pictures' Christmas With the Kranks, out of the No. 2 spot. The holiday film bowed at No. 3.
