Okavango: According to Variety, Charles Leavitt has been hired to rewrite Okavango for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Long in development at the studio, project is now envisioned as an adventure tale set in the world of diamond smugglers.

Leavitt's script will follow a poor African farmer who gets caught up in the conflict between an American smuggler and the syndicate that controls local diamond mining.

Story follows the adventures of these two main characters through London, New York and South Africa, the major centers of the diamond industry.

Leavitt's credits include K-Pax and The Mighty.
