Channing Tatum offered a lead role in Jupiter Ascending
We reported back in January that actress Natalie Portman was being courted for the female lead, and that she was strongly considering the project. Little has been revealed about the story line, except that it will be Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski's first sci-fi movie since The Matrix trilogy. No details were offered for either the male or female lead characters.
Jupiter Ascending is scheduled to start production later this year. The Wachowski's latest film, Cloud Atlas, is currently in post-production, and set for release October 26.
Jupiter Ascending comes to theaters in 2014 and stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, Tuppence Middleton, Douglas Booth, Kick Gurry, Jeremy Swift. The film is directed by Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski.
