According to the Risky Biz Blog, the producers of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse have tapped Catalina Sandino Moreno, to be the vampire Maria.

In the film, Maria tries to put together a newborn army of vampires. She even gets the Confederate soldier Jasper on her side.

The actress will be working with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be directed by David Slade and it starts shooting next week in Vancouver.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was released June 30th, 2010 and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz. The film is directed by David Slade.
