FEARnet has acquired the rights to the horror film Catacombs. According to Variety, the video-on-demand movie service owned by Comcast, Sony Pictures TV and Lionsgate will premiere the film in the U.S.

Catacombs is the first original movie that FEARnet has picked up since it launched ten months ago. The film stars Alecia "Pink" Moore and Shannyn Sossamon as two young women who stumble upon, and get lost in, the two hundred miles of underground tunnels in Paris.

The film will make its debut on October 1st, 2007. On Halloween night, the film will become available for streaming on Fearnet.com. The film will then go to DVD sometime in January.

Catacombs was released July 6th, 2007 and stars Shannyn Sossamon, Pink, Emil Hostina, Sandi Dragoi, Mihai Stanescu, Cabral Ibacka, Radu Andrei Micu, Cain Manoli. The film is directed by Tomm Coker, David Elliot.
