Cast and Crew of Kick-Ass Already Planning a Sequel
Mintz-Plasse plays the wannabe-superpowered Red Mist, who tries to become the sidekick to Aaron Johnson's titular hero. He also had lots of praise for how closely director Matthew Vaughn stuck to Mark Millar's comic. "The only thing that is not loyal is my costume," Mintz-Plasse said. "It looks different than the costume in the comic; but everything else is the same. I remember some people were not happy about Wanted, because it was nothing like the comic. But this is dead-on. "That is what Matthew wanted to do, and he made it happen."
And what about Nic Cage, who plays "Big Daddy", a former cop who trains his 11-year-old daughter (Chloe Grace Moretz) to become a vigilante known as "Hit Girl"? "Oh my god, man, he kicks more ass than in that movie Next," Mintz-Plasse said of his co-star. "He kicks more ass than he does in that; it's insane. I've seen some of the footage and he is insane in it."
Finally, Mintz-Plasse spoke about hope hopeful the cast and crew of Kick-Ass are about the film and a possible sequel. "We're hopeful," revealed Mintz-Plasse. "I would have a pretty big part in the second one, if [the first Kick-Ass] does well in the box office."
Kick-Ass follows the story of a 15-year-old boy named Dave Lizewski who, despite living in the "real world", decides to become a superhero. The film, adapted from Mark Millar's comic of the same name, was co-written and is being directed by Matthew Vaughn. Kick-Ass stars Aaron Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Clark Duke and Nicolas Cage.
Kick-Ass was released April 16th, 2010 and stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Clark Duke, Evan Peters, Garrett M. Brown, Deborah Twiss. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.

I just wanna know how many issues is the movie spanning. From what I read I was under the impression that the comic would end a month or two before the movie came out. If they want a sequel will the comics continue or will it stand alone?

I hope the first one turns out well enough to actually merit this.
