Cary Elwes Joins A Christmas Carol

Cary Elwes has come aboard the new Robert Zemeckis motion capture project "A Christmas Carol. According to Variety, Jim Carrey is planning to star in the feature as Scrooge and the ghosts that visit him as well. The film will be released in December of 2009.

In other casting news, Tasha Smith has signed on to star in Fred Durst's next directorial effort entitled Comeback. Ice Cube has already agreed to headline the film, which is currently being shot in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Punk'd star Ryan Pinkston will play the lead character in the upcoming independent comedy Foreign Exchange. Danny Roth is directing the film, which began shooting in Los Angeles last week.

Lastly, we'd like to mention that Josh Henderson has grabbed the male lead in the independent feature The Jerk Theory. He has also agreed to record the soundtrack for this project, which is currently shooting in Utah.

Disney's a Christmas Carol was released November 6th, 2009 and stars Jim Carrey, Steve Valentine, Daryl Sabara, Sage Ryan, Amber Gainey Meade, Ryan Ochoa, Bobbi Page, Ron Bottitta. The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis.
