Cars 2 character John Lassitire

The character will be the pit crew chief for one of the race cars in Cars 2. Here's what John Lasseter had to say about "John Lassitire."

"It was news to me. I did not know about that, so I was a little surprised. I ended up voicing this character. It was just one line, but now I have a Cars character. I'm very excited about that. He's a good ol' American pick-up truck, which I think is very appropriate for John Lassetire."

Cars 2 was released June 24th, 2011 and stars Larry The Cable Guy, Owen Wilson, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Eddie Izzard, John Turturro, Brent Musburger, Joe Mantegna. The film is directed by John Lasseter, Brad Lewis.

@narzion - in what way? Bugs Life and Cars 1 are hardly perfect.

    As for the cameo . . . yeah . . . I smell a Jon Faverou/Iron Man 2-ish inclusion :P

Cars may have had "soul" but its by far my last favorite of their films. Having said that, all of their films are amazing. I have faith.
