Captain America trailer gets delayed
Branding consultant and creative director Gregory Littley, who specializes in social media, fashion brands, and pop culture recently took to his personal Twitter feed with this message:
"Not good news...I'm hearing that the "Captain America: The First Avenger" trailer is being delayed. Footage isn't 'Amazing'."
This 'tweet' shouldn't raise concerns over the quality of the upcoming Marvel adaptation just yet. Director Joe Johnston has stated that he wants audiences' first look at "Captain America: The First Avenger to be perfect. Fan reaction over Thor footage leaked from Comic-Con was less than positive. Marvel and Johnston are hoping to divert from any poor word of mouth, delivering something that instead gets the paying public truly excited.
There is no word on how long this delay may take. A first trailer is always the hardest to cut, as it sets up expectations for that long haul to the box office. After seeing how people reacted to the first Thor footage, Marvel and Johnston's concerns over releasing a good teaser sound legitimate.
Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011 and stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Dominic Cooper, Richard Armitage, Stanley Tucci. The film is directed by Joe Johnston.

I like the majority of the DC films, but I have never read a DC comic.
I do not think i will be seeing Green Lantern.
His mentor is his enemy?
I hate that they give crap like that away, unless its stated in the first 5 minutes of the film that he really is a bad guy.
Like when the first Spider-Man movie came out, Norman as the Green Goblin was everywhere, it turned off some of my non-comic friends from seeing it cause it was spoiled very early on...
Twists, even if the comic population know them, should not be "shouted out on the street" as it were...
No one left the cinema after Empire saying that Vader was really Anakin, everybody just told everybody else to go see it...
A Spoiler should NOT be a headline!!!

Honestly, as far as the trailers for Cap, Thor, and GL go, I don't give a damn. I don't need a trailer for any of those--I'm seeing them no matter what.

Who the hell is Greg Littley? Whoever he is... he is a liar. Nothing has been delayed. Again, who the hell is Greg Littley? He certainly isn't someone who knows anything about the film or footage... is he a fruitcake? Apparently so.

I think that this guy's statement about "trailer not being AMAIZING"...can have at least 2 POV....IMHO...
1. he is such an extremist looking for something sooooo unbelievable AMAIZING...or
2. the company only wanted to show bits of action so the coolest things in the movie weren't the trailer.

I don't know why you say the THOR or CAPTAIN AMERICA footage shown or leaked from Comic-Con was poorly received. Everyone I know -- and most of the opinions I've seen online -- say the opposite. And your Gregory Littley "branding consultant and creative director" source is not reliable. Check out the track record of his past tweets. He has almost consistently been wrong about all things Marvel movie-related. I don't know who the guy is or why he gets any attention. On what brands is he consulting and what, exactly, is he directing creatively? I'll bet nothing.

I'll do my best to wait a little longer. Not worried about the movie at all.

Cool. Glad to see he wants to pleas fans. This is however, a little saddening, because I believe a film should be good through and through, not just on certain parts, so if a teaser was prepped, (which usually shows the films better scenes) and it wasn't amazing enough, how will the overall film be? I don't know, but I can't wait for a trailer.

Green Lantern is a fail period...that sh*t looked way too fake...the only thing in Capt America that will be hard to make us believe is Red Skull's actual red skull

I don't know why there was dissatisfaction with the 'Thor' trailer, both from Comic-Con and the latest one released a month or two ago. They were infinitely more entertaining and appealing than anything seen from 'Green Lantern'.
And I know Johnston wants to get this right, which I appreciate and think he will. At the same time, I hope the experience and reaction to 'The Wolfman' hasn't made him too cautious.
