Captain America: the First Avenger takes $25.8 million on Friday
Captain America: The First Avenger has taken another $25.8 million from the box office on Friday. According to sources, this could mean a $66+ million dollar weekend for the superhero movie, which would best Thor's $65.7 million dollar take. If this happens, Captain America: The First Avenger would become the biggest superhero movie of the summer.

That figure includes $4M Friday midnights from 2,000 locations, better than this summer's other original superhero movies like Thor and Green Lantern as well as prequel/reboot X-Men: First Class, which all did between $3.25M and $3.5M in Friday midnights.

Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011 and stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Dominic Cooper, Richard Armitage, Stanley Tucci. The film is directed by Joe Johnston.

Yeah, i did like Nortan's Hulk better then Ang Lees Hulk too, but i just felt at that time when the Incredible Hulk came out, that something did not seem right.

@sean I thought Edward Norton's Hulk was the best, it wasn't as boring as Ang Lees Hulk.

Well, i liked the Incredible Hulk, but after seeing the movie "the Hulk" and the Incredible Hulk" i felt like they could of done better with the Hulk in both those movies. Hopefully with Mark Ruffalo they will do better then they did with the previous actors who played the Hulk/Incredible Hulk in the recent Hulk and the Incredible Hulk movies.

Depending on how much of a downfall HP has since it was heavily 'front-loaded' this could earn 80mil at number 1 or HP could still be on top with 74mil if Cap earn 66mil like projected.
@sean so pretty much you're saying that you like all of the MCU films except for The Incredible Hulk?

I saw that as well, and i knew there would be something after the credits like the other Marvel movies, because of the teaser trailer or at least the bootleg of the Avengers trailer being released on the internet for a short period of time, right before Captain America was coming out, or right when it came out.

Hmm.. I don't think this will beat out Thor. It has slightly more than Thor did on its opening Friday, but you have to take into consideration that that was at the beginning of May. Fridays aren't quite as big as they are in the middle of the summer because schools are still going. This is smack in the middle of the summer so opening day turnout is heavier. I think this will end up with $63.5. Maybe close to $65. Too bad Potter couldn't stay on top, but a huge drop was expected.
