Captain America: The First Avenger Photos with The Howling Commandos and Johann Shmidt

Captain America: The First Avenger is still one month away. Leading up to its release, we will be bombarded with more and more video and images from this Marvel adventure, and today is no exception. We have a new batch of photos which show off the Howling Commandos as led by James "Bucky" Barnes (Sebastian Stan), another look a Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) enduring his USO tour, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, and Johann Shmidt (Hugo Weaving) before becoming the Red Skull. Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011 and stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Dominic Cooper, Richard Armitage, Stanley Tucci. The film is directed by Joe Johnston.

    @equialuv...Ok thanx, just wanting to make sure he was really gonna be Union Jack, cuz he does resemble Percival down to the baret and the moustache, they probably just mixed both characters i suppose

    @bane5000 Yes the CG is pure perfection! Damn fine that such a thing didn't bring down this movie.

    Also, in the scene where he transforms into Serum-Cap in the machine, doesn't he look like Sam Rockwell? I wished someone could do a screencap, cause for a moment i was almost sure it was Sam Rockwell in that machine. Was funny.

    Your right, everybody always judges a movie before the trailer even comes out. I'm not even that big of a fan of Cap, but was rooting for the movie from the start.

    In the new trailer, when Chris Evans is talking with Hayley Atwell in the car, there're some angles in which the skinny head attached to the body doesn't look totally convincing. Beside that . . . the effect looks great when he is fighting in the alley, making push ups, covering the grenade and asking "is this a test?" . . . and more. That's a dedicated work!

    So far, after seeing all the posters, photos and trailers of the film, I'm very glad with the art direction. "Captain America" really won in this area with Joe Johnston leading the project.

    @bruce-ha...True about the CGI for Skinny Steve, its looked kind of funny and a bit off at first, u could tell Evans Head wasnt meshing well with the smaller body, but now its looks perfect from this recent trailer, looks like they took theyre time in getting it together and teaking it up to make it look good, and im glad they took that time to do it...

    From the time they first teased this, i haven't had a single bad feeling about this movie coming into the release. I must say, i believe this will be the big summer blockbuster and it will surpass Iron Man movies.

    I gotta comment on the CGI of Chris Evans when he was skinny. That part of the recently released trailer was just pure perfection. I wished every movie got that CG treatment.
