Fans will get their first look at Captain America during the Super Bowl
Disney is also rolling out a new ad for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, while Universal has bought ad time for a new Cowboys and Aliens commercial. Relativity Media is also getting in the game with a TV spot for Limitless.
Prices for a 30-second TV spot will cost a record $3 million for the Fox telecast, which has prompted other studios to air movie commercials during the pre-game coverage. Sony movies such as Just Go with It, Battle: Los Angeles and Priest will be featured during the pre-game show and Focus Features will premiere a TV spot for The Eagle before the game.
Paramount will also have a pre-game presence with ads for Rango and Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom. Warner Bros. and Fox haven't purchased air time for Super Bowl XLV yet, although that still could change.

As great as it is to see the trailers on February 6th, I think airing these trailers on Super Bowl Sunday in a 30 second spot is a cop out! Right now my glass is half empty~

@Chi I was there in Chicago when the Bears went to the Super Bowl a couple years ago, it was brutal lol. The news showed people looking as depressed as I've ever seen people, and people were texting in saying things like "Die Rex Grossman Die" lmao. It was funny and sad at the same time. If they make it this year again, I hope they win to wipe away that bad memory.

ha these trailers are the only reason i'd watch the bowl this year. but then maybe i'll just skip it and watch the trailers on here the next day. that sounds like a better plan.

Well I've seen a lot of films premiere trailers during the super bowl and it can either go extremely well, or extremely poorly (G.I. Joe). It makes the film vulnerable to instant popularity or shunning. I'm not worried for Super 8, but Captain America is taking a risk. I hope it pays off! Can't wait!
