    @The Narrator - I'm the same way. I don't do dismemberment. Period. Most of the time it looks horribly fake anyway. I watched that Piranha clip where two guys carry a girl out of the water, the guy with the legs trips and takes her torso with him, while her top half screams before dying. Really? A mere trip severs her? If she was eaten that badly to be pulled apart so easily, she'd already be dead. No realism whatever. Sick in the head, just as you said it. Now, I can handle zombie movies, when it's not those crappy resident evils or "running" zombies. Ugh. Looking forward to The "Walking" Dead series (emphasis on "walking"). That show actually shows promise.

    @Cyn - It's a "souvenir" from the Batman and Robin set - nothing weird about it ;)

    Lol. @Cyn, yeah, he's tough on me like that. Only ONE genre?! The nerve these days. :P
    And yea, it is a crime to like Transformers. So from the looks of things, you've been a naughty girl... okay, I can not carry this on. It's so weird! :P

    @Diaigma, my pleasure. I honestly dislike horror films (with 2 or 3 exceptions) and especially hate blood and gore. Such a tired and unimaginative genre, with barely any re-watch value unless you are sick in the head.

    @Dave, fair enough friend. I understand, and I am glad you at least try to limit it. And my favorite genre? It would be between psychological type movies (Fight Club, Memento), fantasy (Lotr, Pans Labyrinth), and comic book movies (I am a huge comic reader. To not include it as significant would be a crime). However, I stretch to all sorts of classes, as I am sure you do, when I believe a movie will be good, and if it is, I will definitely recognize it for it's achievements. I am not biased to any class except... horror. :P

    @Cyn, no problem.

    @Dave - no problem, dude. I was taken aback and had to re-read my own post, but no harm, no foul.

    PS I do enjoy the Transformers films. Doesn't mean I believe they are FANTASTIC, but I do love my mindless entertainment. That's the reason I'll be in line for Skyline and Monsters and Super 8.

    They said, including one of the actors and producers, that they knew the second film, as enjoyable as it was, lost the touch the first one had, and that for the third they would make it up, so I'm set

    @TheNarrator
    I respect what u say. But u say its hard to become a director and directors have to harsh at times too. I know i do it constantly and Iwill change that, but sometimes aspiring directors have to give their full opinion on things. I know we need simple movies like these but when you see a movie like this too often it gives u a headache. If they want simple fun films then make something new and fun not allways a sequel or a remake. I'm talking about creativity and originality and that can be used for simple fun films. I never made it sound like a crime i was just at awe and i completely misinterpreted what she said. @Cyn I apologize for that. And no i do not bring up avatar all the time. Do I talk about it in every single post I make? I do not. I completely understand these are opinions but there are times when I do go overboard but thats not only me who does that. Look at others as well. I'm not against these fun family films or anything, I just wish it were possible for something new and fun to come into the light. I understand u are an aspiring filmmaker and so am I, but at times we gotta give our full opinion on things fun or not.

    i bet this is part of the film, but stupid reporters think, its real. ya the cop prob got hurt but its still a script. however u wont b seeing this in the movie,. like my self and others mentioned b4, it might b a fight sence. the cop truck being the bad guy.

  23. The Narrator: The Better Man

    @Dave, ENOUGH, alright?

    Transformers one was a fun family film, and most people I know agree. Same goes with Avatar (which I only bring up because you bring it up ALL the time). Nothing mind blowing in those films other than their outstanding effects, but people do deserve easy to handle entertainment once in a while. Whether you agree with that or not, is up to you, and I completely respect that. You're an intelligent guy. However, @Cyn said nothing to make it sound like she was supporting the film, and even if she did (which she didn't imply), what does it matter to you? The way you posted, you made it sound like it was a crime to support the franchise.

    Call me gullible, but when I hear several people who have worked on the franchise admit they messed up with the last installment, and plan to make up for it, I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt. the film could be complete crap, and we are definitely allowed to judge a film before it's even released (although thats ill advised and pointless), because thats our right.

    But as an aspiring director, you should be less hard on people/films. Things won't be so easy for you either. Without simple minded films like these (which aren't complete atrocities, and are actually entertaining), all of our precious "ideal" films will grow somewhat tiresome. Without dark, we can't appreciate the light. (Crap metaphor I know). Overall, opinions are opinions, but for the love of God, take it easy man.
