Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot seeks a new writer
"If you're going to bring it back, you have to do it right. [Anderson] came in with some great ideas and she had reinvented some of the lore and it was pretty cool but in the end there just wasn't enough on the page."
The studio is currently seeking a new writer for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, although it seems the project might be on the verge of collapsing for good. The proposed reboot received an overwhelmingly negative reaction last year, and even prompted a tongue-in-cheek response from Joss Whedon, who created the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series and wrote the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie.

@shuabert - It probably was.
@ejk1 - Very true but that's not going to happened.
I have mixed feelings about this, I mean I want to see a Buffy movie but I want it to be a Buffy/Angel movie with the original cast coming back. That to me is the biggest problem with this reboot, the tv series was never concluded and still is being written in comic books. Let that end, give it a couple of years then I can see a reboot because right now its still to fresh in my mind. And I know I'm going to get some hate for this but what ever, I am one of the few crazy people out there who actually liked the first Buffy movie ;).
