Hollywood is a weird place. Who all of a sudden decided Nick Swardson is a movie star? He is everywhere, with 30 Minutes or Less on the horizon and a lead role in the Adam Sandler produced Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star coming this September. That's not a slam against Nick Swardson, he's a hilarious comedian, but like Zach Galifianakis, he has been around forever, and only now is he catching a bit of that brighter spotlight. Did 2006's Grandma's Boy leave that bad a taste in a lot of people's mouths? Yes, it did. But here, five years later, it is a bonafide, true cult hit. And like a fine wine that has quietly aged out of sight, Hollywood is now ready to jump on the Nick Swardson bandwagon. Are you? Here is the first trailer and poster for the comedy Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, which centers on a go-nowhere grocery bagger who discovers that his parents were once porn stars and so decides to follow in their footsteps. It was written by Adam Sandler, Allen Covert, and Nick Swardson.     oh god this is going to suck something awful. and i agree with the story when he says, "who decided that nick swardson was a star"? after his horrendous acting in JUST GO WITH IT, now we get this? oh f*cking joy. and i hope that whoever wrote the article realizes that swardson was not THE STAR of grandmas boy, allen covert was. swardson was a supporting character. but i think everyone reading this knows that it's gonna suck. anyone remember dickie roberts? wasn't that done by this same group of people? this looks like it's sequel.
