Director Bryan Singer spoke at the CineEurope conference in Barcelona, Spain today, through a videotaped message, about his superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is currently shooting in Montreal. The filmlmaker teased the worldwide scope of the film, in his statement below.

"It takes place all over the world, including in Russia, China and Japan. So there be will more of an international flair than the other films."
One of the countries he didn't mention was France, which we learned last week is the site of a deadly attack, most likely at the hands of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. There is speculation that this attack serves as the main catalyst for the government to create the Sentinels, which hunt down all mutants.
Bryan Singer is directing from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg, based on the Marvel comic book arc by Chris Claremont and John Byrne that is set in an alternate universe with time travel elements.
X-Men: Days of Future Past comes to theaters May 23rd, 2014 and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman. The film is directed by Bryan Singer.
