Singer also wasn't sure about directing a Superman Returns follow-up as well.

Since they've made a sh*tty premise, just find away to side step they pool of vomit((super-bastard,super-deadbeat-dad), and bring in a villian and a good story.

OK, first off apologise for the beginning, i actually wrote this, quite late from doing a tired ass report on media technology, and then my net went completely ape-sh*t, something to do with the network, but that's no excuse

By this extract from my previous comment, i meant that this article doesn't confirm sh*t about Singer returning to the X-men Film franchise, it shows him portraying interest in returning to possibly direct Magneto.
But since Magneto's backstory that was built within X-Men 1.5 & X2 were based around Nazi Germany, Singer is implying that if he did direct Magneto, then it would be put possibly on hold for a bit because Singer is tired with the Nazi Germany / concentration camps concept which he has delved into particularly with his recent films.
Briefly if he did this, he would need a bit of a break before he returns to the Nazio Germany concept within his films. Think of it like Nolan taking the break between 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight' in which he directed and wrote 'The Prestige' before he return to his Nolanesque Batman Universe. Anither example is the year break that Micael Bay is taking between Transformers 2 & Transformers 3.
This break will obviously improve the story dramatically in my perspective because it alows more time to dwell on the pre-production process. But come on this is 20th Century Fox were talking about, they'd rather find someone else rather than wait on Singer.
I ain't saying that i hate 'Superman Returns' or that i didn't like it, it has its advantages and disadvantages.
The 'What If?' scenario is pretty cool and yes, i enoy concepts like this because it questions the events of the original story.
But with 'Superman Returns' the SFX was more focused on than the story despite how cool the scenario was, the story was incredibly weak and so were the characters, the conitnuity of all 5 films should have been taken into consideration rather than just dropping another Superman film right in the middle of a saga.
This article isn't confirming anything, its implying, there is a difference between implying and confirming and if you think they are the same i recommend grabbing a dictionary or a google defintion search.

to those who said singer is ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED DIRECTORS IN HOLLYWOOD? i question your definition of talent.
He had good product with USUAL SUSPECTS, APT PUPIL, XMEN. Everything else since were incomplete in some form or another. He has no ideas of his own, RETURNS was evidence of that. He's been sticking to NAZI stuff (as he puts it) cause since he's already done the research he's going stick to as long as he can.
He will fizzle out, and it will happen soon.

Bryan Singer is pretty awesome. I believe he should continue the Superman films because those are a lot better than where X-Men is going. What Bryan Singer did for X-Men was open on Magneto being sent to a concentration camp. He left it open and now some other director (hopefully not Brett Ratner-which I doubt) can explore into that world.
Another reason why I think he should continue Superman is because he did a pretty good f*cking job with 'Returns'. Yeah, it was a bit long and it was better than watching a 2 1/2 hour long reboot about Clark Kent when they had the original cartoons, the Richard Donner films, all the TV shows and the still running Smallville, so I am glad he made it a continuation. With the whole fact Brandon Routh was still new at the time it really elevated his career at being Superman because when you say Superman, I think of Christopher Reeve and he made Superman what it is.
I don't want to sh*t on anyones opinion but that's what I want to see for the future, I just don't want to see a 'Superman Unleashed' title.

Bryan Singer is one of the MOST TALENTED DIRECTORS working in Hollywood today.
His return to the "X-Men" movies could be like the second coming! The anticipation will be enormous and Singer will ABSOLUTELY DELIVER!!! Where should the story go? Who knows! Singer could make a movie about the X-Men just going to Bed, Bath, & Beyond to buy curtain rods and IT WOULD ROCK! I'm all for having him take on "X-Men Origins: Magneto"!
"X3" was so rushed, you never really had a chance to connect with some of the more devastating events that unfolded. Singer can restore the glory that he brought to the original "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United". Plus, I still TOTALLY want him to do the next Superman movie!!! He has the right idea (to go all "Wrath Of Khan" with it) and if Warner's would just let him loose it would certainly be a winner.
I really liked "Superman Returns" and, being a Richard Donner "Superman" fan, really, really loved the connection he made to the first and second movies! Yes, after the plane crash sequence buzz clip was over the film got bogged down a bit in romantic triangle angst. But he has Superman's absolute best interest at heart...just like Sam Raimi with "Spider-Man". GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!!
On a side note, I agree with K-Man...Watching J.J. Abrams tackle the "Star Wars" prequels would have been great! He just should not have brought that mentality to "Star Trek" because that was one of the things that ruined it.

ok, first off, Ottley has like three grammatical errors, hardly ground to think english is his second language. it may be, but i wouldn't say that anything he has typed would make me go "wut this guy just doesn't grasp english"
anyway, i do like the idea of just f*cking certain sequals, mostly X3 and Spider-man 3, it will not be done for a long time if they ever do do it, but i wouldn't mind them doin it.
leave Star Wars alone, just give it up, it was great, it has been ruined, just forget the new movies and the new recuts of the original trilogy, and hopefully u have the VHS of the original trilogy cuz that is the only thing that is out that is the true Star Wars. oh yeah and i think Terminator 3 is fine in that is set up for Terminator Salvation which i liked alot actually. i seem to be one of the few.
And i've never seen Valkyrie, but one review i read, that really threw me off, said that it was "like Tom Cruise jumping on Oprah's couch for 2 hours, all over again," or something like that. and it said that the fact that it is all english actors and then Tom cruise who doesn't even attempt an accent of any kind is a lil off putting? is that at all true, cuz i originally wanted to see it but then that review just made me not care.

Ok, first off, J.A. Ottley I am going to assume that english isn't your first language (which is perfectly fine) but there are some subjects written below where I just dont know what the f*ck you are saying. But one thing I did pick up on was where you said how you didn't like how Superman Returns ruined the continuity of the original 5 films considering it takes place after the second. I disagree completely. In fact I wish more movie franchises would do that, its sort of like a "what if" type of thing. You still have the other 3 films (which suck balls) and they will always exist, but it takes place right where the old films started to fall apart. So in a sense, Superman Returns is really Superman 3.
My point is, if they were to do this more often we could close that void of emptiness in our stomachs that we have been left with after all these complete sh*t remakes & Sequels we have been getting lately.
They should just send Bryan Singer in to "redo" X-Men 3 and pretend it never existed! Why not? F*ck Brett Ratner, who cares what he would say?
This kind of "replacement" continuation thing would work great for several franchises that started off great but ended up going off course. Look at how many sequels/prequels had potential to be greats but weren't - X-Men 3, Terminator 3 & Terminator Salvation, Starship Troopers 2 & 3, Jurassic Park 3, Indiana Jones 4, Wolverine, Predator 2, Alien 3 & 4, Blade 3, Fantastic 4 - 1 & 2, Spiderman 3, the list goes on.
Thats just to name a few. I think its kind of cool how Singer just went in and was like "f*ck you, this is how it should have been from this point"
What do you guys think if they started going in to other franchises and just started replacing story-lines where they started falling apart? I think it would be great!
In fact, the very first thing I would request aside from the ones listed above would be to redo the Star Wars Prequels with J.J. Abrahms directing (that man was born to make SW), someone (anyone) other than George Lucas writing and a few recasts - Mainly both young and old Anakin Skywalker. Oh and it would be shot on film.....Not digitally.
Then I would redo the third Matrix as well, same directors but a LOT of rewrites!

Right clarify, Bryan Singer is a f*cking brilliant director, and before any one says Superman Returns i'll reply back Usual Suspects.
X-men 1.5 & X2 were top-notch comic to film adapts which were faithful.
The x-men universe was demolished by Fox & Brett Ratner with The Last Stand and Gavin Hood didn;'t fair so well with Wolverine, and Fox security wasn't on point.
And to think they give Brett some of the most biggest adaptations like God Of War, WTF?, never should Brett Ratner and God Of War be in the same article. It like putting Uwe Boll in the same article with a MGS film adapt.
Now onto Superman Returns, it was a good film but the SFXs were focused on too much rather than the story and it didn;t have enough action, add the disadvantage that it was a continuation to the Richard Donner Cut to Superman 2.
It moved things out of place and because of it being a continuation it messed up the continuity of the 5 films, Superman Returns should have been a reboot.
Valykrie is a brilliant film, i loved it, if you love nazi war action drama, then i recommend seeing it, not just for the riveting true story but Tom is top notch in it, and he looks freakishly too much like the original person that he is playing.

Bryan Singer is cool. I didn't see Valkyrie though but so far my favorite film by Singer is The Usual Suspects. Hopefully he will return to do Superman, which was pretty awesome. After 'Wolverine' I don't see a good future for 'Magneto'...

Superman Returns was a great movie when considered as just a film. Once you define it as a comic book adaptation, that's when things get iffy. It was great for what it was, a Donner continuation. I'm sure he could have done just as well if handed a based more on the comics. If he doesn't do another X-Men film, I would love to see him return to Superman and direct Mark Millar's trilogy
