Bryan Singer steps down as director for X-Men: First Class
We reported last week that director Bryan Singer might only be producing an upcoming superhero film and now that news seems to be confirmed. Deadline New York is reporting that Singer will only be producing X-Men: First Class, and won't be directing the film.

Singer is slated to begin production on his new film Jack the Giant Killer this summer and the site reports that Fox liked the script by Jamie Moss so much they want to fast-track the film for a summer 2011 release, which means Singer wouldn't be available to direct the project, due to his commitment with Jack the Giant Killer, which is a Warner Bros. film.

It was said that Fox is currently looking for directors for the film and it was also reported that the studio is looking to turn this film into a new trilogy. Moss' story was said to revolve around the origin of Professor Xavier and Magneto's conflict.

X-Men: First Class was released June 3rd, 2011 and stars James McAvoy, Laurence Belcher, Michael Fassbender, Bill Milner, Kevin Bacon, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Beth Goddard. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.

You can't compare Jackson and Del Toro working on The Hobbit with this. They are both capable filmmakers who understand and love the material. Singer as a producer could have no effect on the film as noted for instance on Batman Forever, where Burton was producer but Schumacher screw things up

I agree with Todd89, if he has some say in the production it could work. I hope it is good. I'd like to see this franchise get some rejuvenation!

Look at Jackson and Del Toro, their working together with the hobbit films. It could be the same here, Singer and whoever directs the film, the third failed X-Men film could have been much better if Bryan had some say if he became an Exc. Producer back then.
Now as an Producer, he could still be attached two both projects 'X-Men; First class' and the Fourth X-Men film as he works with the directors. It would be better in the long run.

Who are the clowns running FOX? A hit with one movie out quickly instead of a mega-hit franchise because of quality and fan support must be plasterd on the front door at that moronic studio. Advanced Cleanse

i had watched the movie x-men:first class where it is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics starring the X-Men based movies. As i know about it The original series was an eight-issue limited series. It began in September 2006 and ended in April 2007. It was written by Jeff Parker and penciled by Roger Cruz. It was followed by a special issue in May 2007 and a monthly series that premiered in June 2007 with the same creative team.
i have also discuss about colon cleanses like Advanced Cleanse Extreme where Probiotics is the latest way to get rid of several colon wastes. Colon wastes are probably the most detrimental factors that we may come across. There are many ways in which we can boost a colon waste. Advanced Cleanse Extreme can be called the best colon cleanser.

I don't mind a First Class trilogy as long as they keep moving with X-Men 4 and the "normal" X-Men franchise.

The Magneto movie didn't really interest me, anyways. A trilogy sounds good. Singer should be the one to pick the director. Fox executives, who probably don't know sh*t about the comics, should stay away from all decision making.

  13. Null and Void.

Actually, Jack The Giant Killer is "the story of the Cornish youth Jack and his encounters with giants. Jack catches the first giant in a pit trap and kills him, for which he receives a belt engraved with the words "This is the valiant Cornish man, who killed the giant Cormoran." For this, Jack gains popularity within his village and throughout the land. He sets off on a series of challenges, where he encounters a second giant, named Blunderbore. He strangles this giant and his brother (also a giant) with a cord. The third encounter is with a Welsh giant, who tries to kill Jack while he is resting at his castle. Jack is able to trick this giant, however, and manages to get him to stab himself at breakfast. In the fourth encounter, Jack uses his coat of invisibility, which he received in the castle of the third giant, to attack a giant and his brother with impunity. The final encounter is with the giant Galligantus, whom he first scares with a blast on a magic trumpet, then cuts off his head and sends it to King Arthur. Jack is rewarded by receiving Arthur's daughter's hand in marriage."

Can't really see him doing something like that.
