Die Hard 5 starts shooting in 2011
The plot is being kept under wraps for the time being. While a draft of the screenplay seems to have been met with approval from the actor, it still needs to be tweaked before production can begin. Bruce Willis had this to say:
"It's probably going to happen in 2011. We have a script. They're making a couple changes right now.
Not much else is known about Die Hard 5 at this time, and its unclear if Len Wiseman, who directed Live Free or Die Hard, will return. Bruce Willis has stated in the past that he'd like both Len Wiseman and Justin Long to come back for the sequel. At this year's Comic-Con, the action star did not rule out Kevin Smith as a director in the odd change that Len Wiseman decided not to return.
A Good Day to Die Hard was released February 14th, 2013 and stars Bruce Willis, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jai Courtney, Yuliya Snigir, Patrick Stewart, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Cole Hauser, Anne Vyalitsyna. The film is directed by John Moore.

@Err... i totally agree cop out was better than the trailer showed, which doesnt happen that often, and although not penned by smith, i feel that it had alot of signature smith stuff in it to satisfy.
as far as die hard 5, i am stoked for this, the last one was a great addition to the die hard series, and hope they dont struggle with making the next one in terms of watering down the franchise, this is one of the best running franchises in my opinion, and there are few actors that can call a character their own, ford (indiana jones) comes to mind, but as long as bruno is not in a wheelchair, i will keep seeing that guy as john McClane. as far as wiseman returning, not sure it matters, i think it is great to bring in new directors, that can put their own spin on things yet keep the same tone as the films prior. and as far as smith, not sure this would be his style of filming, and would be a good asset for the franchise.

Very cool that there's another Die Hard and yeah, I'm up for a Kevin Smith directed version.

also, i gotta say when i finally got around to watching "cop out" i was pleasantly surprised, so i'd be curious to see how a smith-directed die hard movie would turn out.

TheDude1
@movie-fanatic19 That is correct but the swearing is still removed from the movie. You can clearly see many times in the movie that the actors are swearing but there is voice over work on those scenes that they never removed.
