Brian De Palma has been hired to write and direct the Iraqi war drama, Radacted for HDNet Films and Magnolia Pictures.

The film will be a montage of stories about U.S. soldiers fighting in the conflict; Variety adds it will focus on the modern forms of media covering the war, such as blogs, web reports and other aspects unique to the conflict.

No cast has yet been attached; Redacted will begin shooting in Jordan this spring for a fall 2008 release.
