Brett Ratner Confirmed to Direct God of War

It seems Brett Ratner rumors do come true after all. According to UGO, in an interview with Ratner, he confirmed he will be directing an adaptation of the video game, God of War.

The video game was launched in 2005 for the Playstation 2 and a sequel followed in 2007. Ratner had been rumored to be directing this project for some time now.

No production schedule was released for the film.

    thanks layton, ne one who's played the game knows ot cant b done justice with a pg 13. i mean Kratos is the ultimate badass, hel cut your head off jus as well as look at you. when hes not depatitating sea monsters he's having 3 somes with 2 naked chicks how the heck ya gonna put that in a pg? from the content of the game an R rating would b tame. more like nc 17

    johnnyblaze i totallly agree with u if they screw this up WOW will i be pissed. probably the BEST video game experience iv played. cant wait for the third one. im just scared cuase they cant make a good game into a movie and it pisses me off SOO much. so fingers and toes crossed

    Ratner sucks, after the debacle that was rush 3 i figured he would be in hiding, but now he may wreck a truly epic storyline as GOW. the game itself was pretty cinimatic. lets keep that way.least Kratos decapitates Ratner like an ogre.

    I don't ever blame Stan Lee, because Avi Arad is the one responsible for reporting to him, and Avi Arad is a tool. Stan Lee is just excited that someone decided to try and show patronage to his work befor he died. Jack Kirby didn't have that luxury.
