Brendan Gleeson joins Cavalry
The dark comedy centers on a priest (Brendan Gleeson) who is told during a confession that he will be murdered within one week. Chris O'Dowd, and Aidan Gillen will play members of his community, the Irish town of Sligo. Kelly Reilly and David Wilmot also star as Sligo residents.
John Michael McDonagh will produce through his Reprisal Films company, alongside Chris Clark, Flora Fernandez-Marengo, and Elizabeth Eves.
Production is scheduled to start in September, on a $7 million budget.
